Terms of Use

Last updated: October 1, 2026

By using WhatsMyDocSay ("the Service"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Important — not medical advice. Everything on this site is general educational information to help you understand common medical words and prepare questions for your clinician. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and using this site does not create a doctor–patient or any professional relationship. Always seek the advice of your physician or another qualified health provider with questions about a medical condition. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you read here. If you think you may have a medical emergency, call your local emergency number immediately.

What the Service is

WhatsMyDocSay is a free, in-browser reading aid. It explains common terms found in medical reports in plain English and suggests questions you may want to ask your clinician. All processing happens locally on your device: nothing you paste or open is uploaded, transmitted to, or stored by us. See our Privacy & Cookies policy for details.

Acceptable use

Advertising

The Service is supported by advertising served by Google AdSense. Advertisements — including any for health-related products or services — are provided by Google's ad network. We do not review, endorse, recommend, or guarantee any advertised product or service, and advertisements are never medical advice. See Privacy & Cookies for how advertising cookies work and how to opt out of personalized ads.

Intellectual property

The site's text, design, and explanatory content are owned by us (or our licensors) and protected by intellectual-property laws. You may read, print, and share pages for personal, non-commercial use with attribution. You may not copy substantial portions of the site to create a competing service.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. Medical language is complex and context-dependent; our plain-English explanations may be incomplete or may not apply to your situation.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of — or inability to use — the Service, or from reliance on anything on this site, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Changes to the Service and these terms

We may modify or discontinue the Service, and may update these terms, at any time. We will update the date above when terms change; continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
